Ralph Stanley's version is probably my fav version of this track, though it's been done by no less than Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, June Carter, Flatt and Scruggs, Emmy Lou Harris, the Jordanaires, the Monkees (?!), Bill Monroe, the Oak Ridge boys, Pete Seeger, Mike Seeger, Porter Wagoner, and if I had to guess, probably a lot more groups.
